The Tampa Bay Buccaneers only won three games this season, but what the team showed late in 2009 apparently was enough to keep Raheem Morris around for 2010.
Morris, 33 and the youngest coach in the NFL, met Monday with Bucs co-chairmen Joel and Bryan Glazer and got the blessing of the family ownership to stay the course he set with his young team and franchise quarterback Josh Freeman.
“We are committed to the plan that we began 12 months ago with Coach Morris, and we look forward to building on the pieces that were put in place this season,” Joel Glazer said in a statement posted on the team’s Web site late Monday night.
