HOUSTON — Plenty of diehard fans have stuck around here at the Houston College Classic to catch the tournament finale between Rice and TCU.

Thankfully, some fans didn’t get deterred by the dismal contest between Texas Tech and TCU in the previous matchup here at Minute Maid Park.

Rice pitcher Boogie Anagnostou and TCU pitcher Kyle Winkler are pitching absolute gems tonight.

Anagnostou has struck out four batters and allowed a run on eight hits in seven innings. Winkler, meanwhile, has allowed a run on two hits in 6 1/3 innings.

This game definitely appears to be coming down to which bullpen can get the job done.

Either way, a refreshing finale in what, for the most part, has been a fantastic tournament once again this season.

Rice and TCU tied at 1-1 in the seventh inning.
