Reggie BrownThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a lot of work to do to revamp their receiving corps, with the acquisition Monday night of Reggie Brown just the beginning.

The Bucs sent a 2011 sixth-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Brown, who caught 177 passes for 2,574 yards and 17 touchdowns after being selected by the Eagles in Round 2 of the 2005 draft.

For Brown, the bulk of those numbers came in his first three seasons, as the former Georgia standout was pushed down the depth chart in ’08 and ’09 by an influx of talented young receivers such as DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and Kevin Curtis. Brown combined for just 27 catches and one touchdown the last two years.
