I am surprised that more women haven’t stepped forward to claim their 15 minutes of fame, and their few thousands of dollars for an exclusive interview. But now it just isn’t Tiger’s sexual liaisons stepping forward, it happens to be former employees.
Tiger’s former adviser John Merchant has been quoted in a Vanity Fair article that hits newsstands today that he warned the world’s greatest golfer to stay away from the world’s greatest basketball player, Michael Jordan.
I told him, ‘Stay away from that son of a bitch [Jordan], because he doesn’t have anything to offer to the f- – -ing world in which he lives except playing basketball, which he did yesterday,
Well yes, had Tiger just stayed away from Michael Jordan, none of this would have happened. I am sure it was also his Airness telling Woods to hook up with a Perkins restaurant waitress as well, since he frequents those establishments in Orlando all the time, right? I am not sure what Mr. Merchant’s current financial standing is, but I am sure it is better today than it was prior to interviewing with Vanity Fair. But hey, anything to sell copies, right?
Once again, Tiger Woods is responsible for Tiger’s poor decisions. Did surrounding himself with people influence poor decision making? Probably so. But in no way is Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley, or any other athlete Tiger hung around with at fault for the mistakes Tiger has made.
I am sure that stories will continue to leak out as long as people have interest in this story, and people still have a ton of interest. So expect former Tiger confidants, and more women to leak out claiming to know something about Tiger Woods and his past indiscretions. Anyone that can profit off the most profitable athlete in the world is going to try.
