No one’s ever going to accuse Rex Ryan’s Jets of being too shy. With Ryan entering his second year in New York, the club’s developed a swagger and moxie that hearkens back to the Joe Namath days.

It’s because of that presence that the Jets find themselves the featured players in the sixth season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” series, which premieres Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 10 PM ET. The five-episode show will air weekly in that time slot, culminating on Sept. 8, five days before the Jets open their 2010 regular season with a Monday Night Football game against Ryan’s former club, the Ravens.

Jets linebacker Bart Scott joined Ryan in his exodus from Baltimore after the 2008 season. He’ll join FanHouse on Tuesday at noon ET for a live chat, where he’ll discuss the show, as well as New York’s Super Bowl dreams and whatever other topics you’d like him to cover.
