If you are a Buccaneers‘ fan and you are watching your team are you thinking, “Here comes a train wreck?”
Last week’s news around this team was mild: blackout, no game on local TV.
Now there is an injured starting quarterback followed by sniping from players and coaches.
Raheem Morris, the Bucs head coach, was quoted in the Tampa Tribune like this on Ward:
“When you get a bit older in this league, especially as a running back, you have to realize that you need to come into camp at a lighter weight, not heavier,” Morris said. “I still have a lot of confidence in Derrick Ward that he’ll be ready and in shape to help us this season.”
